Business Women's Network (BWN)
BWN was established in 2007 to meet the need of women in small business, many of whom were working from home in Mawson Lakes. The network has grown to a membership of just under 200 and is on the calendar of events for many business women looking for social networking, mentoring and personal development. A Showcase meeting is held three times per year where 20 of the women get the opportunity to showcase their business to other members.
Meetings are held bi-monthly at varying venues from 4.30pm - 6pm and currently the meeting fee is $5. Lunches are held several times a year to celebrate activities such as Small Business Month, Christmas etc.
Regular 'Showcase Meetings' are held where approximately 20 members showcase their small business to other members and have a 3 minute opportunity to promote their business. These meetings are very popular and the showcasing Fee is $20.
New members are always welcome as are ProBono guest speakers. Sponsors and meeting hosts are most welcome.Members are invited to provide lucky door prizes for the meetings.
